ENCO complete a new build chemical manufacturing facility for a worldwide chemical producer
During the summer of 2021 ENCO took on our largest project to date (£1.5 million). The installation of a new build chemical facility took under 12 months for our team to complete. Sited in the UK we had great access to complete this job efficiently within both our Elland warehouse and on site. The install consisted of nine separate areas of manufacture interconnecting through the facility, covering 12 different processes.
The install consisted primarily of Stainless steel 304L pipework, with our team working with various pipework ranging from 12mm up to 200mm in diameters and various wall thickness ranging from 2mm metric up to Sched 40.

During the manufacture, ENCO kept the workshop running 7 days a week to keep the site supplied, utilising the 25 separate workspaces at our 12000Sq Ft facility in Elland. The install was split between PreFabrication at our manufacturing facility in Elland West Yorkshire and site based manufacture. All works were completed by a team of highly skilled fitters and welders, working alongside our Design Team, Project Directors, and the QA Management Team. At the start of the project, we had a team of four which then expanded to a larger team of sixteen during the height of the project.
ENCO’s In House Design Service team were very heavily involved during the initial composition of the install with both the client and the independent design company. This allowed the project to move from the drawing board to full installation with a minimal number of setbacks and alterations.

The vast majority of both site and manufacturing facility welds were 100% X-Ray / PAUT (phased array). ENCO produced over 3000 welds that were X-Ray / PAUT with only 4 failures over the entire project. This in turn left the client incredibly impressed with the skill level that the ENCO team brought to the project.
The Quality Assurance on over 500 separate spools that left the ENCO facility was completed by the internal ENCO QA team, making sure that the team on site received the correct equipment at exactly the precise time for continuous progress during the project.
As can be seen from the photographs, the install is of the highest quality leaving the client extremely satisfied with all aspects with the ENCO works. This is now the third installation of this size ENCO have completed with the same client, leading to more planned partnerships in 2022 / 2023.
At ENCO we make sure all our clients have full technical support through their time with us. Whilst we supply a full turnkey solution for mechanical and electrical installations, we can support a project with any individual services that are required.
At Project completion, we produced detailed data packs which provided the client with an over view of all works completed through the install. The data packs we have produced will now be used as a benchmark for all future projects that ENCO undertake. Both the client team and independent certifier stated these were the best handover packs they had ever seen.
